Lovely camping site. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Stunning walks anytime of the day around Castle Ward woods and part of Strangford Lough. Although no designated child play area, still plenty to discover around Castle Ward grounds for everyone who is interested in nature. Plenty of space for a caravan and awning. Dog friendly, clean toilets and showers. For any one coming from over th...

We absolutely loved our stay here. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and nature, and we really enjoyed a lovely 2-hour walk right from the site, it was the highlight of our trip. It felt peaceful, tranquil, and exactly what we were looking for. The facilities were good and had everything we needed. Overall, a really memorable and special place to stay, we’d happily return!

Castle ward is a beautiful caravan, camping spot on the shores of Strangford lough nestled with the national trust run castle ward estate. A beautiful location with very clean facilities. Better suited to families and dog lovers than couples looking for a quiet break. Great walking trails within the estate for those looking for nothing too strenuous.

Ringed by tall trees with the sea lough close by, and a short walk to Castle Ward proper. Lovely. The facilities were plenty and kept very clean, with laundry, freezers, plugs and a washing up space in one block, and showers and toilets in the other. The staff were really friendly; E...
