Just spent 3 nights on the site, never stayed before. Overall the site was ok. However, the shower block(new block) was not very clean especially the toilets and the shower I used need a good clean. Also for 3 nights it was an extra £24 because we had 2 small dogs. I queried this cost and was told it was because dog owners did not pick up there dogs mess which to me was not a good enough answer as...

A great stay, would definitely recommend. Easy walking distance to Bakewell and the brewery (worth a visit and dog friendly). The site has great facilities. Toilets/showers are clean and well maintained. Great having a pub/bar on site and with a great atmosphere. Love the food trucks as options if they are around. Some of the grass pitches are not level so just a watch out.

Out of the 3 campsites in the area we used, this was the most expensive (over twice the price of the others!) and the worst. Camped in a tent and we were put on a stony bit of mud. Paid for electric hookup and the power point was about 20m from the pitch. One set of toilets were closed for ‘cleaning’ the whole time we were there, and then when they closed the others at check out time for cleaning,...

A superb campsite, for all types. Nice friendly checkin and Lovely large shower/toilet blocks and a very nice converted barn which is the bar area with a large choice of drinks. They have a games room and play areas for the kids too, something for everyone. Very quiet at night on the section I stayed in. The pitches were a good size, plenty of room for an awning on the caravan with parking next to...

We stayed here last night. A lovely peaceful campsite. It had a lovely bar area and outside area, nice to have a drink and meet other campers. Children’s play area. Good powerful clean shower rooms/toilets. An easy walk away into the village (I’m 70), we did get a taxi back though for only £5 it had started to rain. There is a bus service. We would stay again
