Marthrown of Mabie

Love this place, a real hidden gem. It's a really beautiful site, with gorgeous views at the top of the hill. Some cracking walks in the area. Bunkhouse was basic, but great value for the price and very comfortable. Will be back!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay off grid. We booked 2x yurts for my family, both were exceptionally equipped with everything we could need. There were outdoor composting loos and outdoor showers which were so cosy with a great view! Also fridgefreezers available outside. My kids LOVED the rope climbing frame and rope swing. This is a great woodland setting, very beautiful natural environment with enough facilities to keep you clean, comfortable and fed. It's rustic and charming. The sky at night with an absence of light pollution will take your breath away. Think woodland wilderness with just enough facilities....people looking for material luxury should seek out a hotel, this is not the place for you.

We had a lovely stay at Marthrown of Mabie. Pam and Mike were very welcoming and helpful. The yurts were private and well positioned. We've stayed in a lot of yurts and there are some good touches here that we haven't seen elsewhere. The kitchen area was fantastic with hob and sink and was definitely a luxury!
