Spent many a happy weekend at this site with 1st Hook Scouts, lots of fun times. I now get to see my children create happy memories here too.
Went there for the RC tracks they have. Very impressed
We went for a recce visit to potentially book for 2025. We were shown around the site by a young man called Ollie who was very helpful, showing us all the indoor accommodation, the range for shooting/archery/tomahawks/crossbows use, the cave bus and the remote controlled cars track as well as all the camping pitches. Used the site for a night hike and was really impressed. Wardens were helpful and friendly, and helped run a successful session of archery in their new range. The Mowgli is a great size, has a well equipt kitchen and was very clean. The outdoor leader toilets are clearly new and in very good condition, and I was told the boys/girls toilets are being upgraded soon. The site in general is huge, you ...
Really nice scout campsite with very friendly wardens who were determined that we should all enjoy the weekend. Good facilities, shooting range, campfire space, clear pitches, toilets with showers, remote control cars, and a fairly rural feeling to it despite being a mile off the M25! Will definitely take scouts again.
