Shieldaig Camping & Cabins

What an amazing place and such friendly staff. The toilets were clean, the place felt so organised and they even had a laundry room. This was a last minute stop but it will not be the last time here for sure. The views are incredible here.

A really well-run campsite with great facilities and a great view over the loch. We arrived on the eve of a storm and the owner was on hand to meet us and make sure we parked our campervan into the wind and didn’t pop the roof. When the power went out in the storm the owner had a backup generator up and running the next morning and the WiFi was as working so we could plan our next move and check...

The booking email proudly says: “We are not a site with lots of strict rules.” Apparently the one strict rule is no EV charging—you just find out after you arrive. I booked an electric (EHU) pitch. There was no notice at booking that EV charging was not allowed, and I arrived late at night so I didnt notice the only “no EV charging” note I found on a blackboard by reception the next morning. We have stayed at this campsite both in our motorhome and in one of the cabins. The site is immaculate and all facilities first class. The cabin was amazing, so well equipped, there really is nothing you want for. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. I cannot recommend this site highly enough and it is a perfect location to explore the area from. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful camp site located above the village. Only stayed one night but really enjoyed being there. I used the outdoor shower which was brilliant, better than being cooped up in an indoor cubicle. A nice touch was the owner calling on everyone personally, to check all was ok. An all round excellent experience.
