The Shires Park

First camp of the season and what a gem I found just outside Hereford. The Shires Park is on the A417 and although traffic is right outside the site, it blends into normal, and quietens down after 6pm. However the bottom area of the field is the quietist. This is such a great campsite! It's quiet and the facilities are second to none. The toilet block and showers are pristine and such a high quality. There is a bar which has local beer and cider but wines and spirits too Andy and Diane are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. We have stayed here twice and are looking forward to going back.

I absolutely cannot recommend this campsite enough. The location is great, the bathrooms are lovely - warm and toasty with excellent showers. The clubhouse is great for when the weather is no good, and honestly Diane and Andy are the perfect hosts; so kind and friendly. This was our 4th visit and every time has been fab, thank you both so much for making it another wonderful birthday weekend!

Beautiful and extremely well thought out site. Hosts are lovely and friendly nothing is too much bother. Toilets/showers are immaculate! Club house is welcoming and the pictures don't do it justice. It's situated in a thriving agricultural community so in the day frequent agricultural traffic, but it was not an issue for myself as I was at the bottom of the very well kept field. We had the best time at The Shires. We booked as a spontaneous stop off on our way home from camping in Wales and what a good choice we made! Andy and Dianne are the loveliest owners, the facilities are all recently built and nicer than most hotel bathrooms.. so clean and well looked after.
