It's a modest space, not a day-long affair. You'll spend an hour here, maybe ninety minutes if you're genuinely interested in textile manufacturing. The museum opens April through October, Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, with Saturday mornings only. Winter hours are patchy - check ahead if you're visiting November to March. It's free, which is just good sense for a place this specialist. Axminster sits between Bridport and the slightly larger towns inland, making it a natural stop if you're based at Seadown Holiday Park or Newlands just up the road.
