Beechy Lees Wood

Beechy Lees Wood sits just outside Sevenoaks and offers what feels like proper countryside without needing a map or a four-mile hike. It's a modest patch of woodland - the kind of place you can wander through for an hour without bumping into crowds, even on weekends.

If you're staying at Gatehouse Wood Country Park down the road, Beechy Lees makes a solid morning stroll before heading back for lunch. It won't be the highlight of your Kent holiday, but it's the sort of place that reminds you why people bother with countryside breaks in the first place.
