Beinn a' Chuallaich

The walk up Beinn a' Chuallaich starts proper enough near Pitlochry - you'll find the trailhead without too much faffing about. It's not a massive mountain by Scottish standards, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's a doddle. The climb is steep in places, especially as you push toward the summit, and the path can get boggy depending on the season.

Either works as a home base for a few days of walking in the area. Spring through autumn is your window - winter can be slippery and visibility tends to be grim.
