You won't find much in the way of attractions once you're there, but that's rather the point. This is functioning yard, not a theme park version of horse ownership.

If your family is into riding or even just keen to try it, ring ahead and sort out a lesson or a gentle hack through the surrounding fields and woodland. The staff know the local routes well, and you'll see proper countryside rather than manicured paths. Non-riders can watch the goings-on, but honestly, unless someone's actively keen on horses, it's not a destination in itself. You'd be better off in Bourton-on-the-Water itself - the village is worth a proper wander, with the River Windrush running through and some decent pubs and shops.

Staying at Cotswolds Meadow Glamping just down the road makes sense if you want to combine a few riding sessions with a proper Cotswolds base. The centre works as an add-on activity rather than a reason to visit, really. Check opening times and book lessons in advance - don't just rock up expecting to mount a horse on spec. Summer weekends are busier than quieter weekdays if you want fewer people about.
