Brighton & Hove Methodist Church

You'll find this Victorian Methodist chapel tucked away in the heart of Brighton, a proper slice of 19th-century religious architecture that most seafront visitors completely miss. The building itself is the draw here - ornate brickwork, tall sash windows, and that distinctive Methodist restraint that somehow still manages to feel grand. Inside, if you can get access, there's decent joinery and a genuine sense of how ordinary Brightonians worshipped a century ago.

Who gets the most from it? History types, really. Anyone curious about Victorian nonconformity or how working-class communities built their own places of worship. It's not a major attraction and won't keep you occupied for more than twenty minutes, but it's worth a wander if you're already exploring Brighton's back streets away from the pier crowd.
