Foot of the Downs

Such a gorgeous part of the world and the hut is so cosy. Stayed for 3 nights and it was magical. Perfectly situated for some amazing walks, lovely pub just down the road, and completely surrounded by nature. Absolutely loved my stay. The cabin was clean, beautiful, well equipped, warm and comfortable. The shower was better than mine and the views and surroundings were heavenly. Being literally at the foot of the downs meant rapid access to SDW. I rarely return to a spot twice but I’ll make an exception for this.

The view in front of the hut was exceptional; gorgeous to see the sunrise in the morning! We had such a relaxing two nights there. The hut had everything we needed for two days but we would have appreciated more if the quality of the pans were a bit nicer. We loved our first stay at Foot of the Downs and we'll definitely be back. Lapwing cabin is lovely - it's cosy and has everything you need. The site is quiet and peaceful, with views of the rolling hills. Everything was easy and we had absolutely no problems.

We stayed in the pod for 2 nights and can’t fault it at all. It’s extremely well equipped, comfortable and spotless. The sofa bed is much bigger and more comfortable than they usually are- our kids 17 & 20 were pleasantly surprised!
