Walkers will find it worth the effort, especially if you're based at Dornoch Caravan & Camping Park just down the road - close enough for a half-day excursion without the faff of driving far. The paths are manageable but not flat; there's a bit of climbing involved, so it's not ideal if you've got very small children or dodgy knees. Families with kids aged seven upwards will get on fine, though the wood itself isn't packed with "attractions" - it's genuinely just a wood. That's rather the point.
