Cill Mhòire an Caibeal

You'll find yourself walking across rough ground towards a roofless stone chapel that's been standing on the Argyll coastline for centuries. Cill Mhòire an Caibeal - the name's Gaelic, referring to Mary of the Cable - sits isolated and windswept, which is rather the whole point of coming here. The ruins aren't much to look at in terms of grandeur, but there's something about the setting that makes the journey worthwhile. The walk to get here isn't trivial - you're looking at proper rough terrain and exposure to the elements, so this isn't a casual stroll from the car park.
