Coachfield Plantation

The woodland walk at Coachfield Plantation, just outside Helston, is one of those places that rewards you quietly without any fuss or fanfare. You're walking through proper Cornish forest here - a mix of conifers and broadleaf trees that create that green cathedral feeling locals know well. The paths are decent underfoot and the whole thing moves at a gentle pace, which makes it ideal if you've got kids who need a leg-stretch without the full-day commitment of somewhere like Cardinham Woods further afield.
