Coppett Hill Butterfly Site

A butterfly sanctuary on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye, Coppett Hill is a proper magnet for anyone who wants to see these creatures up close without the chaos of a formal zoo. The site lets loose hundreds of butterflies - mostly British species, though they rotate seasonal visitors depending on what's emerging. You walk through enclosed areas where the insects flutter around your head, land on your shoulders, and generally treat you like you're part of their world rather than the other way round.
