Crumble Tor Wood

The woodland around Crumble Tor is the sort of place you stumble into rather than plan for, which is half its appeal. Ancient oak and beech tower overhead, creating that particular Cornish gloom even on bright days - the kind of light that makes you want to walk slowly and actually notice things.

It's properly atmospheric. The tor itself rises through the trees near Callington, offering decent views across the moorland once you've scrambled up.
