Bring water for the dog, especially in summer. The ground can get a bit boggy after rain, so wellies for you, muddy paws for them. There's usually a good mix of regulars, so if your dog's sociable it's a decent spot to let them interact. The main thing - it's free, it's unfenced in the traditional sense, so you need a dog with decent recall.
