About Eaton Park
This works best for families wanting a straightforward woodland walk without the crowds of bigger attractions, or walkers who fancy an hour or so stretching their legs after a morning elsewhere. It's the sort of place where kids can run ahead without you panicking they've vanished. The terrain's manageable - nothing that'll wreck your boots or leave you cursing the mud, though it gets softer after rain.
Located just outside Hereford, it makes an obvious add-on if you're staying at one of the nearby glamping sites like Caplor or White House on Wye, both within a couple of miles. Tresseck Campsite and Lucksall are also close enough that you could slip away mid-afternoon without faffing about with the car too much.
I'd suggest going early if you want solitude, and allow a solid hour if you're taking your time. Free access, no opening hours nonsense that I can find - just turn up. Decent for what it is, though not worth planning a whole trip around. Better as part of a broader Herefordshire loop involving the river and nearby villages.
