Eggwell Wood

Ancient oaks and beech trees tower overhead as you follow the worn paths through this lovely woodland just outside Bearley. Eggwell Wood offers proper countryside walking without the crowds you'll find at more famous Warwickshire spots. The tracks are well-defined but muddy after rain, so decent boots are essential.

Families with younger children will appreciate the relatively flat terrain and the chance to spot squirrels, woodpeckers, and seasonal wildflowers. Dog walkers clearly love this place - you'll encounter plenty of friendly locals exercising their pets on the main circuit.
