Endon Village Well

Leek, five and a half miles north, offers proper amenities and better walking access to the moorlands beyond.

Honestly, it's worth a look if you're staying nearby, but don't make a special journey. It rewards curiosity rather than expectation - the sort of village landmark that tells you something real about local history without any fuss.
