Fantasy World sits on the seafront at Cleethorpes - a proper old-school amusement park that's been here since the 1970s. The kind of place where you'll spot vintage fairground rides alongside newer attractions, and the whole thing has that endearing, slightly worn charm of a British seaside venue that's seen decades of school trips and family outings.

You'll find the usual mix: bumper cars, a log flume, spinning rides, and various dark rides with genuinely dodgy animatronics. The theming is absolutely bonkers in places - lots of garish colours and fantastical nonsense, which is sort of the point. Kids under ten will probably have a decent time here for an afternoon, though anyone expecting Disney-level production values will be disappointed.

The location is brilliant, mind you. You're right on the Cleethorpes seafront with direct beach access, so you can easily combine it with a paddling session or fish and chips afterwards. Admission's not expensive compared to the big chains, and you can often pick up discounted tickets online.

If you're staying at Haven Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park just down the road, it's a natural add-on to your week - maybe a rainy-day option or a couple of hours' entertainment on a decent afternoon. Realistic estimate: two to three hours maximum unless you're prepared to queue repeatedly. Adults without kids? Give it a miss. It's solidly aimed at the under-twelves market, and the novelty wears off fast once you've done the rounds.
