Foggintor Quarry

The abandoned granite workings at Foggintor sit on Dartmoor like the bones of something industrial that gave up trying. The quarry also sits within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park itself - you could easily combine them into a longer moorland walk. It's not Instagram-famous and it won't take your breath away, but it's the sort of place that stays with you. Raw, honest, a bit melancholy.
