Frigan Covert

Dense woodland stretches across this lesser-known corner of Anglesey, offering proper peace away from the busier coastal paths. Frigan Covert sits just outside Brynteg, a compact forest that feels wonderfully wild despite being easily accessible from the main road.

Old oak and birch trees create a lovely canopy overhead, with well-worn tracks winding through the undergrowth. It's the sort of place where you might spot red squirrels if you're lucky, though the real draw is simply the quiet. Kids will enjoy scrambling over fallen logs and hunting for interesting fungi, while dog walkers get proper off-lead freedom.
