About Go Ape
The main crowd here are families with confident kids aged eight upwards, though adults without offspring have a proper laugh too. There's zip-lining, swaying bridges, and Tarzan swings. Most people take two to three hours, which means you're knackered but satisfied. The forest setting beats the hell out of doing this in a car park - you're genuinely among trees, which adds to both the thrill and the beauty.
It's not free - you'll pay entry - and you'll need to book ahead rather than just turning up. Wear trainers with grip and go when it's dry if possible. Wet ropes and slippery platforms aren't your friend.
If you're camping at Lodge Coppice Holiday Park or Orleton Court Farm, this works nicely as a half-day activity before heading back to base. It's the sort of thing that either becomes a trip highlight or gets abandoned after twenty minutes when someone discovers they're scared of heights. Worth trying though. Bewdley itself has decent pubs and the river walk if you want something calmer afterwards.
