Gortin Glens Spring Water

The spring itself is more concept than spectacle, to be honest. A natural water source in the Gortin Glens that's been bottled and sold for years - you're looking at a modest spot rather than some grand visitor attraction with facilities and viewing platforms. It's the kind of place you'd stop at if you were already walking the glens, not somewhere you'd drive to specifically from Omagh.

That said, if you're into the geology side of things or just fancy knowing where that spring water comes from, it's a decent little detour. The surrounding landscape is the real draw - proper woodland walking country with decent trails through the glens themselves. Families with younger kids might spend twenty minutes poking about, then get bored. Walkers, though, will appreciate being here as part of a longer route through the valley.

If you're based there for a park holiday, you could easily incorporate a morning walk to the spring and back without any hassle. The wider Gortin Glens area is worth your time for the forest scenery alone - bring proper boots and maybe two hours if you want to explore properly.

No admission fee that I could find, and no specific opening hours - it's outdoors and accessible year-round. Spring and early summer look nicest, when the woodland's at its greenest. Don't expect crowds or infrastructure. This is about the landscape and the story of the water, not visitor facilities.
