Hillsong Church Kent sits just outside Tunbridge Wells, a modern evangelical congregation that draws worshippers from across the South East. If you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Apple Acres is practically on your doorstep at 1.4 miles away - and looking to slot in a Sunday service during your holiday, this is the obvious choice.

The church operates as a non-denominational evangelical space, so the atmosphere differs markedly from your traditional C of E village chapel. Expect contemporary worship, a decent-sized congregation, and fairly polished production values. It's not everyone's cup of tea - plenty of people find the modern evangelical thing a bit much - but if that's your thing, you'll find a proper welcome.

Attendance is free, though they do take collections. I'd suggest getting there early if you're visiting on a Sunday; parking fills up quickly. The location works well if you're based at Apple Acres or Glamping at Honnington Farm, both excellent spots for a Kent caravan holiday. It's roughly 15 minutes' drive from either site.

Realistic expectations: this isn't a tourist attraction. You're here for worship, not sightseeing. If you're a practising evangelical Christian wanting to connect with your community whilst on holiday, it's worth the short trip from Tunbridge Wells. If you're after historic architecture or cultural tourism, look elsewhere - Tunbridge Wells itself has plenty more interesting options within easy reach.
