You can walk straight into Holly Wood from the edge of Oxford without any faffing about with car parks or entrance fees. Weston Caravan and Campsite, sitting at six miles out, is a bit far for a quick visit but still within reasonable driving distance. The real value of Holly Wood is that it's accessible, free, and it stops you feeling completely trapped by campus buildings and traffic once you've had your fill of Oxford's colleges.
