Walking into Hunthouse Plantation feels like stepping into proper woodland - dense trees, quiet paths, the sort of place where you can actually hear yourself think. It's a forest block just outside Leek, nothing flashy, but genuinely pleasant if you're after a straightforward woodland walk without the crowds.

The plantation itself is mixed woodland - mostly conifers with some broadleaves mixed in - and it's the kind of spot that works well for families who want to let kids burn off energy on forest paths without worrying about major hazards. Dog walkers love it here too. Allow a couple of hours if you're taking it at a reasonable pace; it's not massive, but there's enough to explore that you won't feel short-changed.
