Little Park Copse

A quiet woodland walk near Alton that doesn't pretend to be anything grander than it is. Little Park Copse is a small forest patch - the sort of place locals know about and visitors often miss entirely. You get a proper walk through mixed woodland with decent tree coverage, and on a sunny day the dappled light through the canopy is genuinely pleasant.

It's not dramatic or sprawling. You're looking at an hour's wander maximum, maybe ninety minutes if you're the type who stops to examine bark texture and listen to birds. The paths are straightforward - nothing technical, perfectly fine for families with younger kids who won't tolerate a five-mile trek. Worth building into a larger walking loop around Alton rather than making a special trip.
