Lower Colgarth Hill

The walk up Lower Colgarth Hill from Skipton is one of those routes that sneaks up on you. It's not dramatic, not particularly high, but it delivers solid views across the Yorkshire Dales without requiring mountaineering boots or an early start. The climb itself takes about forty minutes at a steady pace, passing through moorland and grazing fields - proper Yorkshire scenery, nothing fancy. If you're staying at one of the nearby glamping spots like Malham Glamping Pods or Wood Nook Caravan Park, you could knock this out before lunch and still have time to explore Skipton's market or tackle something more demanding afterwards.
