There's proper research material here, not just bestsellers gathering dust.

It's the sort of spot that appeals to serious readers and local historians far more than casual tourists. If your kids are expecting interactive displays or high-tech wizardry, they'll be disappointed within twenty minutes. But for anyone doing genealogy work or genuinely keen on East Anglian maritime history, this is worth an afternoon visit.

The other parks - The Hollies and Parkdean Resorts Kessingland - are close enough that you might pop in while exploring the area, though honestly it's better suited to a planned visit rather than a last-minute decision.
