Lunebrew sits just outside Garstang, a working brewery where you can actually see beer being made rather than just drinking the stuff. It's a proper craft operation - the kind of place where the owners know what they're on about and aren't afraid to talk you through their process. You get to wander round the brewery itself, watch the equipment do its thing, and then retire to the tap room to taste what they've made. The range changes depending on what's seasonal, but their core beers are solid Lancashire fare without any pretension.

This works brilliantly if you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Moss Wood, Claylands, or Crook O'Lune are all within easy reach. A couple of hours here breaks up a caravan holiday nicely, and if you've got teenagers old enough to appreciate a proper beer, they'll find it genuinely interesting rather than boring. Younger kids might lose patience after 20 minutes unless they're really into watching machinery.

The tap room is the real draw - grab a pint, sit down, and actually enjoy what you're drinking rather than just consuming it. The staff are chatty without being pushy. It's the kind of place where you don't feel rushed. Do yourself a favour and check opening hours before you visit, as independent breweries often keep odd times depending on the day. Worth the short drive from Garstang if you fancy something different from the usual holiday park routine.
