The church sits quietly in Muckhart village, a short drive from Dollar in the Ochil Hills foothills. It's a straightforward parish church, nothing showy, just the sort of place locals have gathered for centuries. The building itself is modest - clean lines, traditional Scottish kirk style - and the churchyard's worth a wander if you're into old gravestones and local history.

Really, this works best as a stop-off rather than a destination in itself. If you're staying at Fossoway Cabins or Meadow View just down the road, popping over takes twenty minutes and gives you a sense of how these communities actually tick. History buffs will find the burial stones interesting enough, and it's peaceful - genuinely peaceful, not the forced kind you get at overtouristed spots.

Bring the kids and they'll be restless within ten minutes, so save this for quieter afternoons or if someone in your group is properly into ecclesiastical architecture. The Ochils themselves are the real draw in this area; the church is just a pleasant adjunct to walking and exploring the hills around Dollar.
