Quebec House sits on the edge of Warlingham, a handsome Georgian property that once belonged to General James Wolfe before he famously died at Quebec in 1759. Walking through it, you get a genuine sense of how a military officer's family lived. The rooms aren't cavernous or intimidating; they're actually quite intimate. There's a small garden out back that's worth a potter around, especially if the weather's decent. History enthusiasts will find it rewarding - particularly anyone interested in the Seven Years' War or colonial history. Children aged seven upwards will probably engage with it; younger ones might find it a bit slow.
