Newhaven Museum

The old fort that guards Newhaven's harbour is now home to a surprisingly engaging local museum, crammed into the ramparts and bastions of what was once a proper defensive stronghold. You're walking through genuine Victorian military architecture here - gun emplacements, ammunition stores, and narrow corridors that smell of salt and history.
