North Promenade

The North Promenade stretches along Cleethorpes seafront like a proper Victorian afterthought - all ornate railings and tired grandeur that somehow still works. It's essentially a long walk with the sea on one side and an assortment of amusement arcades, fish and chip shops, and ice cream vans on the other. Nothing revolutionary, but that's rather the point.

You come here to stroll, not to gawp at an attraction. The path is flat and wide, which means buggies and wheelchairs manage fine, and it's genuinely decent for families who want an easy afternoon away from the beach itself. Kids will happily potter in and out of the arcades if you've got spare change. On a decent day the views across the Humber estuary are proper lovely, especially late afternoon when the light starts doing something interesting.

Allow two hours maximum unless you're planning a full day in Cleethorpes itself. It's free to walk along, though you'll spend money if you fancy food or the entertainments. Go on a dry day in shoulder season - summer means it's rammed with day-trippers, winter can be frankly miserable.

If you're staying at Haven Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park nearby, you're just a short walk away, which makes this an obvious low-effort option for an evening stretch of the legs. It won't blow your mind, but it's exactly what a seaside town should deliver without fussing about it.
