Oxbury Wood

A proper Essex woodland walk, Oxbury Wood sits just east of Royston and delivers exactly what you'd hope for from a forest ramble - leafy paths, a bit of peace, and the chance to actually stretch your legs without fighting crowds. The wood itself is straightforward: ancient trees, dappled light filtering through the canopy, the occasional muddy patch that'll test your boot choice. Nothing flashy, but that's rather the point.
