Planet Bounce is an indoor trampoline park just outside Nottingham - the sort of place that'll either be a godsend or a mild nightmare depending on whether you've got restless kids in tow. The setup is straightforward: rows of interconnected trampolines, foam pits, and dodgeball courts. It's loud, chaotic, and genuinely fun if you're eight years old or thereabouts.

You'll spend a good hour here before the novelty wears off and someone inevitably needs the toilet. Older teens might find it a bit juvenile, and adults without kids will feel somewhat out of place - this is unashamedly a children's venue. The foam pit is the real draw; watching kids launch themselves into it never gets old, even if the place smells faintly of trainers and hand sanitiser.

If you're based at Nottingham Camping and Caravanning Club Site or Shelford Nurseries, it's close enough for a rainy-day outing, which is exactly what it's designed for. Worth ringing ahead to check opening times and whether you need to book - school holidays get rammed. Entry isn't expensive for what it is, though they'll likely try to sell you socks if you've forgotten yours. On balance, it's useful rather than unmissable. Perfect for burning off energy on a wet afternoon, but don't expect it to be the highlight of your trip to the area.
