Pond E sits quietly on the Nottinghamshire flatlands, a modest water body that works best as a peaceful break rather than a standalone destination. It's the sort of place you'd stumble upon while exploring the wider Newark area - somewhere to stretch your legs, maybe spot some waterfowl if you're lucky, and let the kids burn off energy by the water's edge.

The pond itself is straightforward: a small lake fringed with vegetation, offering a bit of natural calm in an otherwise agricultural landscape. You won't find dramatic cliffs or Instagram-ready vistas, but that's rather the point. It's genuine, undeveloped, and free from the crowds that plague more famous water spots. Walkers doing loops through the area will appreciate it; birdwatchers might find something of interest depending on the season. Families staying at nearby glamping sites like BrackenXcapes or Wigwam Holidays Orchard Stables - both within four miles - could easily pop over for a casual visit, though don't expect it to occupy a full afternoon.

There's precious little infrastructure around Pond E itself, so bring a picnic if you fancy a sit-down, and wear decent shoes because the ground can get boggy. No facilities that we're aware of, no admission charges either. It's the sort of stop you make while heading somewhere else, not a reason to plan an entire day trip.
