Pump Hill

Pump Hill is a modest rise on the Isle of Sheppey that offers proper views across the Thames estuary if you catch the weather right. Shurland Dale or Ashcroft Coast are close enough that you could incorporate it into a morning outing without much bother.

The real value is contextual. If you're already in Sheerness exploring the coastal path or staying local for a week, Pump Hill deserves an hour of your time. It's free, it requires no planning, and it delivers genuine Isle of Sheppey character - windswept, unpretentious, and quietly rewarding if you're the sort who enjoys low-key vantage points over being constantly entertained.
