You can access stretches near Doncaster easily enough, and there are decent vantage points if you want to stop and watch the light change on the water. Families with older kids will find the walking manageable. Younger ones might get restless after an hour or so unless you're combining it with a picnic. The real draw here is that it connects properly to the holiday parks in the area - Misterton Holiday Park is only 8.5 miles away and sits practically on the water, making it a natural base for exploring both the river and the surrounding fenland.
