The paths wind through oak and ash trees, some centuries old, with enough variation to keep younger explorers interested for an hour or so. I found the most rewarding route follows the main track then loops back through the denser sections where you'll spot woodpeckers if you're quiet enough. Families staying at nearby parks like Tapnell Farm or Thorness Bay will find this a good alternative to busier attractions when the kids need to burn off energy. The ground can get muddy after rain, so proper walking boots are essential. Dog walkers make good use of the space too - just mind the occasional cyclist on the wider paths. Free to wander and open year-round, though autumn brings the best colours and spring offers bluebells in the clearings. Not spectacular by any means, but a decent spot for a morning walk before heading back to the coast. Allow about an hour for a proper explore, longer if you're keen on birdwatching or just want some peace away from the holiday park bustle.
