Saint Peter's Church, Trusthorpe

Standing in this quiet corner of Trusthorpe, you'll find a Norman church that's been watching over this Lincolnshire village since the 12th century. Saint Peter's is proper old-school - thick stone walls, a solid square tower, and the kind of weathered dignity that comes from eight centuries of coastal winds.

The interior holds some lovely surprises. Medieval stonework still shows in places, and there's a rather fine 15th-century font that's worth a closer look. History buffs will appreciate the mix of Norman and later additions - you can actually trace the building's evolution through different architectural periods.
