A street sign that's become something of a pilgrimage spot for Christmas enthusiasts and curious visitors alike, Santa Claus Street sits quietly in Swindon's suburban sprawl. It's exactly what it sounds like - a residential road with an absurdly festive name - but somehow that's enough to draw people in.

The appeal is straightforward: it's free, it takes about five minutes to walk past, and you get a decent photo opportunity if you're into that sort of thing. Fair warning though - if you're expecting Christmas decoration year-round, you'll be disappointed. It's just a normal street with a cheeky nameplate. Families with young kids who still believe in the magic might find it amusing. Novelty hunters will either think it's brilliant or a waste of petrol depending on their sense of humour.

There's no visitor infrastructure here - no café, no gift shop, nothing to eat. It's the kind of thing you do on the way to somewhere else rather than as a destination itself. If you're based at Second Chance Touring & Residential Park just down the road, it's a quick diversion. Swindon itself has plenty to occupy a day - STEAM Museum is actually worth a proper visit - so you could bundle this in with something more substantial.
