Sheepcotes Wood

The real draw here is proximity - those campsites are minutes away, which makes it proper handy for burning off energy before dinner. Go when you want; there's no gatekeeping as far as anyone can tell. Bring decent boots if it's been wet. The wood itself won't take your breath away, but it does the job that woods are meant to do, and you won't spend half an hour finding somewhere to park.
