If you're based at White Mark Glamping less than a mile away, or at The Chilterns View a few miles up the road, this is an easy leg-stretch between countryside walks. Watlington itself is a proper market town with actual shops and cafes, so you can build a morning around the church and a proper coffee. No admission fees that we can find, which is always nice. Allow fifteen minutes maximum unless you're the type who photographs every stone carving. Best visited midweek when it's genuinely quiet - weekends can bring the coaches through if you're unlucky.
