If you're based at one of the nearby campsites - The Hollies or Leek Camping and Caravanning Club Site are both within spitting distance - you could easily add it to a ramble around the area. The surrounding moorland and countryside is the real draw; the church itself serves as a nice focal point for a circular walk rather than a destination in its own right.

You won't need more than twenty minutes inside, but the setting rewards a slower approach. Come on a weekday morning if you want genuine quiet. The village itself is unremarkable - a handful of cottages and farms - so don't expect a café or visitor facilities. That said, Leek is close enough for lunch or supplies, and it's within reach of the wider Peak District if you're planning a longer stay at one of the caravan parks. Worth the detour if you're walking in the area, but not worth driving over specially.
