St. Sylvester Church

The church sits quietly in the Devon countryside just outside Kingsbridge, a proper medieval survivor with genuine character. St. Sylvester's has the worn stone and low doorways you'd expect from a building that's been here for centuries, and stepping inside feels like actually stepping back in time rather than touring a museum piece.

It's the sort of place that rewards a slow wander. Kingsbridge itself is close by and worth a browse. Go midweek if possible - quieter, and you'll actually feel like you're discovering something rather than queuing.
