Stalactite Cave

Deep beneath the Mendip Hills, this natural limestone cave system offers a proper underground adventure just outside Winscombe. The stalactites hang like stone icicles from the ceiling, some taking thousands of years to form their delicate pointed tips. Walking through the narrow passages, you'll spot flowstone formations that look like frozen waterfalls and columns where stalactites have met their upward-growing stalagmite partners.
